LOVE OF EMPIRE

This film is about an adventurous petty bourgeois entrepeneur who went to Africa in the 19th century to exploit natural resorces, establish new markets and gain new territories for his fatherland, Germany. This is the story of the colonial empire in the area of present-day Tanzania, East Africa and how independent indigneous people become “negroes”.
